What is it?
The Women’s World Summit Foundation (WWSF) is a non-profit, international humanitarian organization with consultative status at the United Nations. Since its establishment in 1991, WWSF has been dedicated to advancing the rights of women and children worldwide. Through annual campaigns, action kits, prize awards, and roundtable discussions, WWSF strives to create a more equitable world where 75% of the global population has a voice in shaping the future. WWSF’s efforts are focused on empowering women and youth, eliminating violence against women, children, and youth, ending rural poverty, and supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Agenda 2030.

75% Campaign
Actors for the Common Good Leadership Training for Women & Youth
March 8th
75% Campaign – Actors for the Common Good (Launched in 2021): On International Women’s Day (8th March), WWSF launched the 75% Campaign – Actors for the Common Good. This initiative calls on world leaders to change course and ensure that women and youth play a pivotal role in shaping a stable and equitable world. WWSF invites individuals and organizations committed to the common good to share their work and inspire a global movement for women and youth leadership in decision-making processes.
17 Days of activism
For the empowerment of rural women and their communities
October 1st – 17th
WWSF’s 17 Days of Activism campaign seeks to empower women leaders in rural areas and communities. This annual initiative aims to increase local and national activities and empower rural women to claim their basic right to development. The campaign also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Agenda 2030. WWSF acknowledges and rewards creative rural women leaders and grassroots groups through an annual prize of US$ 1000 per prizewinner.
19 Days of activism
For prevention of violence and abuse against children and youth
1st-19th November
WWSF’s 19 Days of Activism campaign identifies and mobilizes organizations and grassroots groups working to implement the rights of children and youth. This initiative encourages civil society action and aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal #16.2. Additionally, WWSF recognizes and honors active coalition member organizations with an annual Innovation award for their creative prevention programs.
365 Days of Activism
For the elimination of violence against women and youth in CH

Since 2009, WWSF has been convening the Swiss White Ribbon Campaign, aiming to eliminate violence against women and youth by 2030. The campaign’s “365 Days of Activism” toolkit, featuring 16 themes, mobilizes men, women, and youth to pledge online: “I pledge not to commit, excuse, or remain silent about violence against women and youth.” WWSF encourages the integration of this campaign into schools, universities, businesses, and families.
